History
There isn't much information available on this place other than it was opened by a Mr Peter H. Charles in 1986 as the Charles works. In most recent times the buildings were occupied by Roebuck & Clarke galvanizing but the company has since gone in to administration. John Street Platers of Sheffield, another galvanizing company, reportedly purchased the site in 2014 but there was no development work and the site is currently up for sale again.
There is lots of evidence of galvanizing works remaining including the large baths for dipping the metal. Also it seems the employees of R & C liked a good brew!
All photographs are available as prints or canvas with or without the border. Message for sizes/ prices.
